Herb Recipe - Flower Pot Bread

2 clay flower pots (5 ½” x 5 ½”)
1 cup milk
2 Tbls. butter
5 cups flour
2 pkg. dry active yeast (or 2 T)
2 Tbls. Sugar
1 Tbls. salt
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 egg
2 Tbls. minced parley (fresh)
1 tsp. caraway seeds
¼ tsp. dried tarragon

Wash flower pots and bake dry (15 min. at 375 degrees) and cool.  Line pots with aluminum foil and grease foil generously.  Bring milk, water and butter to boil in saucepan, then cool to 110 degrees.  Mix 2 cups flour with yeast, sugar and salt in large bowl.  Add warm liquid and beat 2 minutes more.  Stir in enough additional flour to make batter stiff.  Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled (1 hour).  Stir batter down and spoon into pots.  Bake at 375 degrees until golden brown, about 50 minutes.  Cool, then remove foil and return loaves to pots for attractive serving or gift giving,
